The earliest evidence for the ancestor to humanity dates to about 6 million years ago.
Since that time, many advances have occurred in both the human body and mind.
As far as we can tell, our bodies have not altered much in the last 40,000 years, but our minds have altered beyond recognition.
This may be as a result from training in the formative years or there may be other forces at play.
We have mastered many areas of life such as science, athletics, medicine, and technology, just to name a few.
Despite the vast time since we first branched off the genetic tree from the ape, most of these advances have occurred only in the last few centurys.
In many ways, the rapid growth in these areas of skill can be viewed a chain reaction, a reaching of critical mass, followed by an explosion of ideas that have taken shape inside and outside the human mind.
Man's place in nature
An area of understanding that appears to have missed this explosion is the study of spiritually who we are, where we have come from, and were we are going.
The major religions essentially have not changed in millennia and show no inclination, despite many incompatibilities with the modern mind.
Scientific research still does not understand what life really is, or exactly how it started on this planet.
The debate between supporters of creation and evolution keeps recycling the same arguments but do not give concrete answers.
Evolution can be considered a long-winded or ever-lasting form of creation, and so many of the arguments blend into each and become meaningless.
Without direct and repeatable evidence, we cannot answer questions many of us wish to know - Are we truly alone?
Are there intelligent forces at work in the Universe?
What is god?
To this end, a process requiring several steps can be used to achieve a state where the evidence occurs as stream of coincidences carrying some answers.
The first step in the process is a shock to the system.
The global examples on this website may produce this effect for some.
A message is being transmitted and any who receive it may be altered at the deepest level.
The next step is to view the message through the framework where all our experiences and thoughts are filtered.
In many cases, the message will be ignored as the framework will not tolerate this information.
This is ok.
The method of delivery is designed to be hidden from obvious view, so only those that actively pursue the information will have it.
A part of the message is that any and all can be privy to direct communications with an unseen source.
There are no special cases or intermediaries.
Continuing with the discussion on evolution, about a half a million years ago, the human mind had evolved to include the ability to use tools such as rock blades to assist with daily life.
During the following several hundred thousand years, humans progressed in their thinking to include the ability to grind as well.
Over time our abilities increased slowly as we improved our tools and skills, even starting trade networks over long distances.
Small art pieces for decoration became a part of life.
In essence, we began to recognize that information could be stored externally from ourselves in a useful way.
Then around 40,000 years ago, the human mind had evolved a step further to include images and language thus enabling a rapid rise of intelligence from that point onward.
Today, virtually all intelligent communication involves the use of symbols in one form or another as a method of relaying information.
To put simply, a symbol is an abstraction of an idea, mood or experience that can be recognized at a later time.
Symbols usually come in the form of an image or sound and quite often at a rapid pace.
Reading this text, for instance, there are literally hundreds of symbols being processed automatically in the brain, with the interpretation occurring almost without thought.
Some of the symbols blend into each other and form new symbols and hence take on a new meaning.
Much of this process in the mind is automatic and literally taken for granted day in, day out.
From this perspective, any intelligence wishing to communicate would require symbols as a means of communication.
It is up to us to recognize what the symbols are and how they work.
The idea that coincidences are some kind of communication from the spiritual realm is not new.
Only in the last century have coincidences (or synchronicity) been examined more closely, without any ties to any particular religion or group.
To qualify as a symbol of communication, a coincidence must represent an idea, mood or experience, and come with enough regularity to be noticed.
It does not have to be the thing it is representing, just an abstraction of some sort.
Coincidences are events that occur from time to time and usually do not have significance until analyzed in detail.
The process of analyzing a coincidence is akin to learning to read, or, in the case of a very young child, learning to see.
Imagine what it is like to look at objects and not really know what they are.
Most adults have forgotten the frustration children have when looking at something like letters and words and not really understanding them.
What makes coincidences more difficult to understand is: they are nature's way of simultaneously hiding its own intelligence, yet providing a path for any who are interested.
Like reading a page written in invisible ink, you must first know the secret ink is there before you can reveal it.
Grooming with a Mirror
One possible definition of a coincidence is:
Coincidences are a reflection of internal feelings delivered symbolically in an external way.
There are two analogies that may help.
The first is that of a person looking in the mirror.
In this example, the mirror reflects light and allows us to make an adjustment if we do not like what we see.
Coincidences reflect feelings in a similar way to a mirror reflecting light.
The second analogy to use is that of an echo.
An echo is a reflection of sound that often comes in the form of language bouncing back off an obstacle like a cliff face.
The cliff face appears to be communicating in our own language, but we know the source is really ourselves.
Similarly with coincidences, the universe seems to be talking like the cliff face, but the source is really us as well.
Unlike these two analogies, coincidences always uses symbolic language and this can be hard to read.
What makes the whole thing complicated is the symbolic language is also dynamic.
For example, Christmas Day may have huge symbolic meaning for one group of people, but none whatsoever for another group.
If a person, place, thing or event is symbolic to you, it can be used to relay the reflection of your feelings.
The reflection can be at an individual or a collective level.
Like a mirror, each coincidence comes with the opportunity to make an adjustment even if it is only a mental note to do things better next time.
In some cases, coincidences provide the opportunity to meet an interesting person or learn a new skill.
These should be viewed in the context of an ongoing evolutionary process of the mind.
As such, we must be careful to understand the information provided is not really a judgment or condemnation from a higher source.
The evolutionary process ceases when there is an overdependence on outside recommendations or validations.
Notice the use of the word "feelings" instead of thoughts on this page.
Our feelings are our deepest types of thoughts and it is usually only from these coincidences are created.
The question "What feelings get reflected?" is very hard to answer and probably related to intensity and frequency.
The next point describe coincidences in a more detached, impersonal way:
Coincidences are a force of nature and the consequence of using energy.
Just like electricity, the energy can have positive or negative results.
Also, like other forces such as gravity there is no morality associated with them.
Another possible definition of a coincidence is:
All highly intelligent beings express themselves symbolically with coincidences.
Humans do it individually and in groups, unconsciously.
God does it precisely with science.
