Summary Source: The Global consciousness Meaning: A message about global conflict and a new (idea of) God.
An amazing coincidence occurred on December 26, 2004 when a massive earthquake lifted the ocean floor near Indonesia generating a tsunami, and then killing around a quarter of a million people.
A year previous, almost to the hour, another earthquake occurred in Iran killing approximately 32,000.
Was this a random event in nature or something more significant? Was it just another fluke like so many we see in our daily lives?
Even more bizarre is the date December 26 appearing four times in the dozen worst killer earthquakes with 25,000 or more deaths between 1932 and 2004.
That's one in three killer earthquakes on December 26 of a certain severity in a 72 year period!
The four earthquakes are listed in chronological order below showing Universal time where available.
December 26, 1932, China, 70000 killed
December 26, 1939 (23:57 UTC), Turkey, 35000 killed
December 26, 2003 (1:56:52 UTC), Iran, 32000 killed
December 26, 2004 (0:58:53 UTC), Indonesia, 225000 killed
Due to historical inaccuracies, there is some confusion on the exact time and date of the first earthquake in the list.
Some internet sites record the earthquake as occurring on Christmas Day.
However, December 26 seems to be the general rule.
Many strange events appear to be just happenchance, but look a little bit closer at just how bizarre this series of events are.
Doing a quick bit of probability theory; the chances of a particular date appearing four times on a list of 12 can be calculated in an approximate way using the method following, given the assumption an earthquake could occur any day in the year.
For one date to come up once in a list of 12, there are
12 chances in 365
= 1 chance in 30 or 3.3%
For a date to come up four times in a list of 12, there are
(12 chances in 365) x (11 chances in 365) x (10 chances in 365) x (9 chances in 365)
= 1 chance in 1494015 or 0.00007%
The overall probability that a particular day appears four times in a list of 12 is about one in a 1.5 million, based on an assumption a major earthquake could occur any day in the year, or one in 365.
The mathematics is simplified and an assumption is made on the first earthquake, but by all accounts these are strange events.
Crazy coincidences occur all the time and this example can be written off as one of these.
It is easy to do and keeps life simple.
However, this is the beginning of a series of coincidences that spans the last hundred years and may test your beliefs to the core.
Start by noticing the date.
The big thing that stands out about the date December 26 is that it is the day after the most symbolic day of the year, Christmas day.
Well, that is, at least for the Western world. From an abstract point of view, the earthquakes occurred on day after the birth of a major religion's God.
Christmas day is symbolic itself and December 25 has been used by a couple of religions in ancient history, such as Christianity and Mithraism.
The earthquake on December 26, 2004 was followed by an aftershock several months later.
The aftershock was a substantial earthquake occurring on March 28, 2005 near Indonesia and killed around 1300 people.
In a similar way to the Boxing Day events, this follow up event occurred on the day after Easter Sunday.
Let's be clear about what has occurred.
Four significant earthquakes occurred on the day after Christmas with a probability of around one in a 1.5 million, followed by a huge aftershock linked to the most recent on the day after Easter Sunday.
This part of the coincidence is a message about the birth of new concept of God.
The first two occurred approximately at the start of the East Asian component of World War II and the start of World War II proper, respectively.
The last two were a year apart in the early 21st century.
They form a boundary during which time much of developed world has arrived at a conclusion about itself.
That is, we are capable of creating and destroying without invoking a God.
Now notice the time.
The difference between the 2003 and 2004 earthquakes was almost one year to the hour, being about 58 minutes off a full year.
Is this coincidence asking us to notice the time? Or put a different way: What was going on in the world at the time?
During this period the United States and it allies had invaded Iraq with the goal of regime change based on the assumption the Iraqi government had concealed its development of weapons of mass destruction.
This assumption has since proven to be false, but at the time, the public were led to believe there was a good chance the research and development was still occurring.
What do you do with a rogue state with nuclear or biological weapons?
It seemed at the time all of the world's troubles had been placed at the feet of the then leader of Iraq, Saddam Hussein.
Not everyone agreed and there were massive protests and discontent across the planet, at least in the developed countries.
If you remember this time, there were many arguments at all levels as to the correct approach in handling the government of Iraq, at least in the developed world.
Parents had different opinion to their children, friends argued with friends, and nations publicly opposed each other.
It is possible to break down the crisis over Iraq in the following way.
A Tyrant blamed for the peoples problems. (Saddam Hussein)
Regime change - The removal of a dictator in favor of a constitution and elections.
Interference by Western secularists
An uneasy alliance between factions in the new government.
Fracture of an Empire.
The last point, facture of an empire, refers to the differing views of Western countries on the crisis in Iraq and the continual increase in anti-American feeling.
So where is this idea of noticing the time going?
Before going any further, look at all earthquakes in the last century that fit the filter of 25,000 deaths or greater.

Note: * Earthquakes in 1908 and 2004 resulted in tsunamis.
About a century ago, when a similar set of conditions occurred on the world scene.
The event I am referring to is called the Young Turk Revolution in 1908 and subsequent destruction of the Ottoman Empire.
There is even a link to Iraq as it was made up of three regions of the disposed Ottoman Empire.
The Ottoman Empire was the largest Islamic Empire ever laying claim to parts of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and was primarily based in Turkey.
The purpose of Young Turk Revolution was to bring a constitutional parliament back to the Ottoman Empire, supplanting a monarchy.
But like modern times in Iraq, the many factions could not agree on a successful course to achieve this and ultimately led to the decline of the Empire.
The Young Turk movement not only began the destruction of the Ottoman Empire, but also represented a way of thinking that is similar to some of the leaders in the early 21st century.
That is, create change through the use of agitation and indifference to others' beliefs.
Leaders of this kind were once called "Young Turks".
Ultimately, this philosophy led to the downfall of the Ottoman Empire and in recent years, a fracturing of Western powers.
In a twisted mirror image of the recent occurrences with much of the world polarized over Iraq and the Middle East, the Young Turk Revolution and the destruction of the Ottoman Empire have similar components such as:
A Tyrant blamed for the peoples problems. In 1908, the tyrant was Sultan Abdul Hamid II
Regime change - The removal of a monarchy in favor of a constitution and elections.
Interference by Western secularists
An uneasy alliance between factions in the new government.
Fracture of an Empire.
In 1908, the empire fracturing was the Ottoman which was predominantly Islamic, and in 2004, the Christian West.
The people, places and belief were different, but, from an abstract perspective, the ideas and events repeated themselves nearly a century later.
These two events can be viewed together symbolically and represent the struggle between two religions and empire building gone wrong.
Looking at the rest of the list, it then becomes easy to identify other patterns using the same logic.
For example, two earthquakes in 1939 can be linked to World War II.
The earthquakes in 1990 and 2003 in the Middle East can be veiwed as representing Gulf War I and II.
Earthquakes in 1935 and 2005 are symbolic of the struggle of Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
Kashmir was split down the centre in 1935 and by 2005 many of the differences have been addressed.
Similarly, the years 1927 and 1976 are symbolic for revolution in China.
The years 1948 and 1988 form a boundary for the Cold War, etc.
